I do not like my wife’s Odyssey. The seat hurts my back and it’s just too large. However there are times it’s OK, like when I discover that Target is having a one day 15% off on TVs, on top of the posted  sale prices.

I learned long ago to not influence my wife’s car buying decisions. Last time I did was in 2008, and we got rid of that car in 9mo and took a 9k loss.

It’s the only modern minivan I would consider (In GT trim with base model interior) other than the Transit Connect. The others all drove like hot garbage IMO and got horrible fuel economy.

I’m happy me and the wife on on the same page when it comes to vehicles.

Driving wise, the Odyssey was by far the best behind the wheel . We drove the Odyssey, Pacifica, and the Sienna. Sienna just drove like a van, blech. Odyssey feels pretty much identical to an Accord on twisty roads and handles really well. Close my eyes and I’d have a hard time telling that the Odyssey isn’t a car from behind the wheel, right up until I went flying off the road and killed everyone from driving with my eyes closed. Pacifica was in the middle. My choice if we had to have a van would have been the Pacifica. I liked the styling the best, stow and go middle row was awfully nice, and it doesn’t have the shit tech of a Honda.

But again, my opinion was not asked, nor given. She loves her van, and that’s what’s important. I’m a fan of it when I have to move huge things with little notice.

We drove all of them as well. We came up with Transit Connect, Grand Caravan GT, Pacifica, Odyssey, Grand Caravan, Sienna in order of best to worst for driving experience.

I however hate the middle row captains chairs, so that rules out pretty much all of the modern van offerings except the Grand Caravan (Base model only) and the Transit Connect.

IMO, Minivans are the ultimate versatility vehicle.
